Garden Center Marketing Case Study: Attleboro Farms
Attleboro Farms is a family owned and operated, full-service garden center offering annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, a bird shop, pottery, hanging baskets, mulch, and ongoing family friendly events.
Attleboro Farms was looking for new marketing ideas to help grow their customer list, manage their events, and be more consistent on social media, so they left their marketing to Lindsay.
Email Marketing With a paper at the register to collect email addresses, text to sign up sign displayed at the register, website sign up form, and posting weekly Facebook statuses with an email sign up link, continuing to grow their email database with new customer email addresses would no longer be an issue.
Event Marketing Rather than using a paper sign up form to collect event registrations at the farm, Lindsay simplified the process using online tools and enabled online registration to collect payments, send event reminders, manage the attendance list, and collect email addresses of new customers!
Facebook To promote local awareness and increase event attendance, Lindsay advised the importance of participating in local community Facebook groups to get the word out, along with running Facebook ads to promote specials on their behalf.
Instagram To help connect and educate a younger demographic about gardening, Lindsay recommended utilizing Instagram to show off their beautiful flowers and even hold contests like “Show Off Your Garden Sweepstakes”.
Promotions In an effort to educate first time home buyers to learn how to garden, Lindsay created “Flower Pot Friday” where customers can bring in their empty flower pot, and Attleboro Farms will help you assemble it – free of charge!
